BlueSolar MPPT 250/70-Tr VE.Can is a solar charge controller with maximum power point tracking (MPPT), for 12, 24 or 48 V batteries with automatic selection, with a charge current of 70 A and a maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 250 V. It has a VE.Direct port and VE.Can ports.

The controller can also recharge a deeply discharged battery that is not permanently sulphated or otherwise damaged, and can operate from a battery voltage of 0 V. MPPT technology quickly tracks the maximum power point, and the charge settings are fully programmable and can be configured for different battery chemistries, such as lead-acid, lithium and others.

The charger has CAN-bus ports (VE.Can): several units are daisy-chained with a single RJ45 cable, synchronise their charge stages and can send their data to a GX monitoring device. A VE.Direct port is also provided, and the remote on/off terminals can be controlled by an external device, for example a lithium battery. An optional plug-in LCD display provides live data, configuration and management directly from the front of the device.

The controller can be configured and monitored over Bluetooth with the VictronConnect app, which shows battery voltage and current, PV voltage and current, and historical data. If the GX device is connected to the internet, the VRM portal gives access to all data; for locations without internet, the GlobalLink 520 device can be used.

The PV connection is made through 35 mm² screw terminals, and the battery connection also through 35 mm² screw terminals. The maximum PV short-circuit current is 35 A. The dimensions are 185 x 250 x 95 mm (height x width x depth) and the weight is 3 kg. Up to 25 units can operate in synchronised parallel.
