nomadX versus a diesel generator

For work with 230 V electric tools, nomadX replaces the engine-driven generator: no fuel, no fumes and no engine noise.

Criterion nomadX Diesel generator
Fuel None needed: charges from a 230 V socket in about 2.3 h Diesel, bought, transported and stored
Emissions at the work site Zero Exhaust fumes
Noise in operation Under 30 dB Engine noise
Enclosed spaces and tunnels Suitable: produces no exhaust fumes Exhaust fumes must be vented
Maintenance No engine and no fan: natural cooling Oil, filters and engine servicing
Socket voltage 230 V pure sine wave, 230 ± 5 V Depends on the model
Monitoring App via Bluetooth, alerts and history Depends on the model

The nomadX values are those of the official datasheet. The capacity is 2.3 kWh per charge. For continuous work at high power, rotate several units: one works while another charges.

Frequently asked questions

How long does charging take and where can I charge it?

About 2.3 hours for a full charge, from an ordinary 230 V socket (176-264 V, 45-65 Hz). The maximum charging power is 1200 W, at a current of 6 A (maximum 8 A), so a household or site socket is enough. Charging takes place at temperatures between 5 and 40 °C.

How long does nomadX run my equipment?

It depends on the power of the devices switched on at the same time, which can be at most 3600 W. As a guide, on one full charge, 1800 W of devices run for about one hour, 300 W for about 5 and a half hours and 100 W for about 14 hours. Send us the list of your devices and we will tell you how long it runs.

Does it start motor-driven tools, which draw a high starting current?

Yes. The peak power is 20 kW, with a peak current of 140 A, and the inverter sustains 4000-5400 W for over 500 seconds, 5400-7200 W for over 50 seconds and 7200-9000 W for over 10 seconds. The datasheet shows, for example, a 3.2 kW core drill or a 3 kW welding machine powered directly. If you have a specific tool, send us the model and we will confirm.

What does IP54 mean?

The enclosure is protected against dust, which does not enter in a quantity that would affect operation, and against water splashes from any direction. nomadX can work outdoors, on a construction site; it must not be submerged or exposed to a powerful water jet.

Can it be used in enclosed spaces or in tunnels?

nomadX has no engine and produces no exhaust fumes, which is why tunnels and mining are among the uses listed in the datasheet. Cooling is natural, with no fan, and noise stays under 30 dB.

How is it transported?

It weighs 23.8 kg and measures 526 × 211 × 485 mm, so it fits in a car trunk or in the site van. The structure is metal and shock-resistant, and the battery holds UN38.3 certification, the safety tests required for shipping batteries safely.

Does it work in the cold?

Working with tools (discharging) is possible between -15 and 55 °C, and charging between 5 and 40 °C. In storage: between -20 and 60 °C for up to one month, between -20 and 45 °C for up to three months.

How do I know how much charge the battery has left?

On the housing, the indicator shows the battery level in 10 steps. In the mobile app (Bluetooth) you also see the input and output power, the cell temperature, the history and the alerts.

Do I get a better price for several units?

Yes. The price per unit drops automatically in the cart from 5 units and again from 10 units; the exact prices are in the "Volume prices" table on this page. For larger quantities or delivery to several sites, please request a quote.
