BOS-B256 Pro-A3 is a LiFePO4 battery energy storage system for commercial and industrial applications, made up of 16 BOS-B-Pack16-A3 modules of 16.08 kWh each, rack mounted and managed by the BOS-B-PDU-2-A control unit. It provides 257.2 kWh (231.48 kWh usable at the recommended depth of discharge of 90 %) at a nominal voltage of 819.2 V.

Each BOS-B-Pack16-A3 module has a capacity of 314 Ah, a nominal voltage of 51.2 V and an energy of 16.08 kWh. The modules are connected in series; the system supports an operating voltage range of 665.6-934.4 V and a maximum DC power of 147.456 kW.

Cycle life exceeds 6000 cycles (at 25±2 °C, 0.5C/0.5C, down to 70 % of capacity), at a recommended depth of discharge of 90 %. Charging is possible from 0 to 55 °C and discharging from -20 to 55 °C. The system communicates over TCP, RS485 and CAN, has an SOC / fault code display and smart fan cooling. The 16-module system suits hybrid inverters (5-16 modules) as well as a PCS (14-16 modules for grid-connected applications, 15-16 for off-grid).

The system has an IP20 protection rating, is installed in a rack and operates up to an altitude of 3000 m. Certifications: CE, IEC 62619, IEC 62040, UN38.3.
