Pylontech US5000 is a 48 V LiFePO4 battery with a nominal energy of 4.8 kWh (4.56 kWh usable, 95 % depth of discharge) in a 19-inch rack module format. Continuous charge and discharge current of 100 A, CAN and RS485 communication, up to 16 modules in parallel in one group. Ingress protection IP20, weight 39.7 kg.
Pylontech US5000 is a low-voltage LiFePO4 battery (48 V, 4.8 kWh) in a 19-inch rack module format, designed for energy storage in residential photovoltaic systems. It has a built-in BMS, communicates with the inverter over CAN or RS485 and can be expanded by connecting up to 16 modules in parallel in one group.
The module has a built-in BMS with dual active protection, a soft-start function that reduces the current surge when the inverter starts from the battery, and automatic address setting when several groups are connected. The recommended charge and discharge current is 80 A, the maximum continuous current is 100 A, and 101-120 A for 15 minutes and 121-200 A for 15 seconds are allowed for short periods. One group has one master module and up to 15 slave modules.
The working temperature is 0 ... 50 °C for charging and -10 ... 50 °C for discharging, and the design life is over 15 years. The module is intended for indoor installation in a 19-inch rack or cabinet or on brackets, with at most 3 modules stacked. The US5000 model has no built-in breaker: a 60 V DC disconnection device, type C, of at most 125 A for one pair of cables is recommended between the battery and the inverter.
The module box contains two 210 mm power cables (4 AWG), one 210 mm RJ45 communication cable and one 1000 mm grounding cable (6 AWG). The cables to the inverter are not in the battery box: they belong to an external cable kit, packed separately (2 power cables of 2000 mm, 4 AWG, and RJ45 communication cables).
The official Pylontech list of compatible inverters (version 2.46, updated 7 July 2026) has one shared column for US5000, FB-L-5.12 and FB-L-16, which lists Victron Energy inverters (Multiplus and Quattro 48 V, via Venus OS, CAN communication), Solis (S6-EH1P-L, S6-EH1P-L-PLUS, S6-EH3P-NV-YD-L) and Deye (SUN-SG01LP1, SUN-SG03LP1, SUN-SG04LP1, SUN-SG04LP3 and SUN-SG05LP3 series), among other manufacturers. Firmware V1586 is stated for the Deye SG01LP1 and SG03LP1 series, and firmware 422 with Venus OS V2.15 or newer for Victron. In off-grid use with Victron, a Victron MPPT or another Victron-compatible PV inverter is required.
