25 A Buck-Boost DC-DC converter is a DC-DC converter for charging a 12/24 V service battery in vehicles with a smart alternator. The maximum output current is 25 A at 12 V and 15 A at 24 V.
The Buck-Boost DC-DC converter is intended for charging a 12/24 V service battery in vehicles with a smart alternator. Because these alternators, controlled by the engine electronics of vehicles complying with emission standards 5 and 6, do not always deliver the correct charging current while the engine is running, a DC-DC converter is essential for correctly charging the service battery.
The converter is programmable and has a terminal for remote on/off. The operating temperature range is from -25 to 60 °C, and at 60 °C it can deliver its full rated power. The housing is aluminium.
