VE.Bus BMS V2 is a battery management system (BMS) designed to interact with and protect one or more Victron Smart lithium batteries of 12.8 V and 25.6 V (LiFePO4), in systems with Victron inverters or inverter/chargers with VE.Bus communication.

The VE.Bus BMS V2 monitors and protects the batteries against overvoltage and undervoltage of any individual cell, as well as against temperatures that are too low or too high. The load disconnect, charge disconnect and pre-alarm outputs are normally high and become floating on alarm or on disconnect.

The terminals for communication with the battery have M8 circular connectors, the input/output terminals are screw terminals, and there are 2 RJ45 sockets for connection to VE.Bus products. The rated current is 1 A for the AUX input, the GX power supply output and the pre-alarm output. The recommended fuse size is between 0.3 A and 2.5 A, depending on the devices connected to the load disconnect output and to the pre-alarm output.
