VE.Bus BMS and VE.Bus BMS V2 are battery management systems (BMS) developed to interface with and protect one or more Victron Lithium Battery Smart 12.8V or 25.6V batteries (LiFePO4 or LFP) in systems that have Victron inverters or inverters/chargers with VE.Bus communication. Monitors and protects batteries against overvoltage and undervoltage of any individual cell, as well as overtemperature or temperature conditions.

Depending on the condition of the battery or batteries, the BMS will:

Generates a pre-alarm signal to alert of an imminent cell under voltage.
Disable inversion in VE.Bus inverters or inverter/chargers via VE.Bus and disable other loads via the "Load Disconnect" terminal if a cell is energized.
Disable charging in VE.Bus inverters or inverter/chargers via VE.Bus and disable other chargers via the "Load Disconnect" terminal in case of cell overvoltage, undertemperature or overtemperature.
Remotely controlled start/stop terminals.
Function to disable VE.Direct and VE.Can solar chargers via a GX device.
Allows control of the VE.Bus inverter/charger from multiple devices such as Digital Multi Control, VE.Bus Smart dongle and/or a GX device.
Auxiliary power input and output terminals that allow the GX to remain powered in the event of a system shutdown.
