The set contains one MC4 male and one MC4 female connector, in the standard format for PV cables of 2.5 to 6 mm². It is used to extend or repair solar cables and to connect panels to a charge controller or inverter. Rated current 30 A, voltage 1000 V DC, IP68 protection when mated.
The MC4 solar connector pair is a set of one male and one female connector in the MC4 format commonly used on photovoltaic panels. It fits solar cables of 2.5 to 6 mm² and lets you extend a cable, make one to the length you need or repair a damaged connection.
The contacts are tinned copper and the housing is UV and weather-resistant plastic. The contact is crimped onto the conductor with an MC4 crimping tool (not included), and mating is done by simply pushing the halves together until the latch locks. The sealing gasket provides IP68 protection when mated.
MC4 connectors must not be disconnected under load: switch off the load or the source first. For a safe connection, use the same connector series on both halves of the link.
