The Amphenol UPC series 2-way power connector has a rated voltage of 1 kV and a rated current of 250 A, IP67 protection when mated, and cable and panel mounting. It is designed for the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) market.
The 2-way power connector, 1kV 250A rated, from the Amphenol UPC series is a connector set with a plastic housing and a small footprint, used in power converters, hybrid electric vehicles and battery management systems.
The connectors have a plastic housing structure and a small footprint, and can be installed and repaired in the field. They use Amphenol's patented RADSOK technology, which provides higher amperage, lower voltage drop, lower resistance and lower T-rise. The twisted grid configuration allows 50% more current through a pin of the same size, with increased reliability, cycle durability and lower mating forces.
The connectors are touch-proof, with HVIL (high-voltage interlock loop), and include EMI shielding. They withstand a minimum of 500 mating cycles. They are suitable for power converters, hybrid electric vehicles, battery management systems, heavy equipment electrification, starter generators and two-phase motors.
