Battery Monitor Victron BMV-702 is a high-precision battery monitor with a 500 A shunt that calculates consumption in amp-hours and the battery state of charge. It has an input for a second battery and an optional temperature sensor. It is flush-mounted and communicates via VE.Bus.

The essential function of a battery monitor is to calculate the amp-hour consumption and the state of charge of a battery. Amp-hour consumption is calculated by integrating the current flowing into or out of the battery.

It has an auxiliary input for the voltage of a second battery (6.5-95 V) and an optional temperature sensor (ASS000100000), with a measuring range of -20 to 50 °C. It is supplied with a 500 A / 50 mV shunt, a positive cable and an auxiliary cable of 1.5 m with a 1 A fuse, plus a 6-wire UTP cable of 10 m with RJ12 connectors.
