CBS5000-BCU is the control unit of the SOFAR CBS5000 HV battery system. One unit manages 4 to 12 CBS5000-BMU modules (20.48-61.44 kWh), works at 600-1000 V and 50 A, communicates over CAN and is rated IP66. It weighs 24.5 kg, is ordered separately from the modules and contains no battery cells.
CBS5000-BCU is the control unit (BCU) of the SOFAR CBS5000 modular high-voltage battery system. One unit manages 4 to 12 CBS5000-BMU battery modules and connects to the hybrid inverter over CAN communication, at 600-1000 V.
A complete CBS5000 system consists of one control unit and 4-12 battery modules. The unit has a circuit breaker, a black start switch and the terminals that link it to the modules in the stack. The system grows in steps of 5.12 kWh and up to 4 stacks can run in parallel.
The manual of the HYD-40K...60K-T1 inverter describes the CBS5000 system as the battery for that inverter. The CBS5000-BMU modules are not included. The modules are stacked on top of each other with no cables between them, and at least two people are needed for the installation.
